The Art of making history.

My new single, "The Art of Holding On", featuring Debi johnson, made history as Debi and I became the first to grace the cover of the first-ever official poetry playlist on a major distribution platform (Audiomack). For many months, the "Verified Poetry" Playlist had remained a personal passion project of a curator until Friday, 17th October, when Audiomack adopted it into the verified club.

Why does this matter?

This move stamps the growing appreciation and engagement poetry and spoken word have enjoyed in the past few years. No longer a mere "add-on" in musical circles, this playlist positions poetry as an audio form that is rich and distinct enough to be celebrated on its own. I'm grateful Audiomack Africa is leading the curve and hope this encourages other DSPs to take up the mantle and move with the wave that is poetry.
